Iced Turkish Cafe au Lait Infused with Cardamom Pods

This iced coffee drink is spiced with cardamom pods.

Iced Turkish Cafe au Lait Infused with Cardamom Pods

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 6 whole cardamom pods crushed
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cold
Instructions
  1. Mix the milk, half and half, sugar, and cardamom pods together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, and cool completely.
  2. Strain this into a small pitcher, and add in the coffee. Chill until very cold.
  3. Divide this between two glasses filled with ice.

Raspberry Limeade

Another sweet and refreshing drink, but this time made with fresh lime juice and raspberries.

Raspberry Limeade

Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries fully ripe
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup sugar or to taste
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
Instructions
  1. Place 1 cup raspberries with 1 cup of the water, and puree in a blender. Pass through a chinois set over a pitcher, pressing on the solids.
  2. Add the rest of the raspberries and water with the sugar and lime juice to the pureed mixture in the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Serve over ice, giving each glass some of the raspberries.
